Our mission is to strengthen communities across midcoast Maine through responsive programs and strong partnerships that promote economic stability, school readiness, whole family resilience, and healthy lives.
At MMCA, we envision a region where every person can access the community resources they need to thrive.
There’s unity in community.
Our core values:
MMCA’s Community Needs Assessment (click here for Sagadahoc County and here for Lincoln County) describe the fundamental economic challenges facing Mainers, including those affecting people in our home communities in Knox, Waldo, Sagadahoc, and Lincoln counties. The Community Needs Assessments establish profiles of communities, noting both needs as well as the resources available to help. The Community Needs Assessment conducted by the Maine Community Action Partnership (MeCAP) can be found here.
MMCA’s Strategic Plan provides detailed information about our organizational goals and objectives to meet the community’s needs. For a review of our programs and financials from FY 2024, click here to view our most recent Annual Report or pick up a printed copy at our central office.
Support our mission. When you give to MMCA, we make sure that funds are directed to those in greatest need. For more information about our financial stewardship, visit our profile on ProPublica’s Nonprofit Explorer.
